Methow Valley Coyote Hunting
« on: February 11, 2013, 08:36:34 AM »
I'm headed over to the Methow next weekend to try to plink a few yotes and save some fawns for the year. I've been hunting around Twisp/Winthrop/Carlton for deer for almost 15 years, but have never done any winter predator hunting. I know the area well, just curious as to what elevation the yotes will be hanging around. I'm thinking lower behind most fields will see some success. Any pointers?

Thanks,

Go kill a cat.  There have been quite a few being seen around twisp.

Thanks,

Most of them now seem to be at or below the snow line.  A few are in the receding snow areas.  Good luck!

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. I want to do my part to thin out the predators up there. Sick of seeing all of the fawnless does during deer hunting season.

Every summer my friends and I go camping in twisp. I would love to go coyote hunting next time I'm there.

Please update with your experience.

You're gonna find that a lot of the locals are out hunting Yotes as well and it will be difficulty to find an area that isn't called at least every other day by someone. I gave up here in the Methow and have moved my hunting elsewhere.
