I like my Yamaha 15, if I were to do it again I'd go a 20 hp, on a WC14 Lund, it was like $300.00 more for the 20 is all.Carl
What are you using it for? Kicker on a larger boat or a main motor on a smaller one?Yamaha, Honda and Merc rule the roost in the 15hp 4S world. Depending on the application, don't think you could go wrong with any of these as long as you get an FI model.
I wonder if a yamaha 10 horse would push a 14 ft aluminum with 2 people,a dog and gear well?
Al, I do not know about the 9.9 but per the Yamaha spec book both the four cycle 15 hp and 20 hp are; same weight per model,118 lbs short; 123 lbs long, same displacement 362 cc, same bore and stroke. On the 2 stroke 9.9/15 seem to be the same.Carl
