I;ve been working on stone points and arrows.   People think getting the spine right with a carbon arrow, and weight and everything else, should try shooting homemade sticks with homemade points and fletchings.   My ultimate goal is to use petrified wood/ agatized material I find in my backyard.  Its really brittle though and hard to knap.    In the meantime I have been working with some obsidian I have obtained.   My hunting partner found a nodule in Montana on his moose hunt, and I might try some of it next so that it completes the DIY portion of the whole project.   Sort of like tyeing ones own flies from birds raised or harvested.   I need to experiment with some different limbs for making arrows though.

Does a claw hammer count as primitive?
