Usually about a week after the season opens ;)  Or so it always seems to me.  If memory serves me correct you find out by the end of March.  I've gotten used to the "not selected".  It's the waiting that kills me :yike:
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

It took my dad and I 6 years to draw the last time, I hope it doesn't take that long again. We have 3 points this year, putting in for the blues area.

I'm definitely going to draw this year. And I have a honey hole that is infested with bears.

If anyone get's drawn for Monroe and wants some help, let me know. I got to know it real well last year. I didn't get one, but I know where a couple live.

How do you apply for the draw? Do you have to know where you will be going before you apply?

Go to a dealer or online at WDFW and go to special permits and click purchase permit. You have to buy a license to apply as well. Also yes you have to know the area they are all different and you have to choose when you apply.

Just found out I scored a Kapowsin spring bear tag after many-o-years of trying .  I have a call into Hancock Timber for an access pass.  I've heard they will have a map of heavy bear damage areas.  I've never been in the area and would really appreciate any PM tips someone could provide.  I've killed a few bears in SE and PWS Alaska by stalking beaches and clear cuts.  I've never used predator calls but I've seen a few use them around here.  Are they effective?
