One big bear
« on: February 15, 2013, 09:06:31 PM »
Went through past photos and found this pic. Saw this bear in the spring that year and caught him on a deer trail in similar area a few weeks later. Never could spot him in the woods during season to date. He was a monster. The area is so thick I can't see a thing now a days.

I went out a lot. 17 days in August the year before not including the other months. Did not get a bear. Did not see a bear during the season before that. That season I took two bears, but did not see that bear. He's been a ghost since. In the spring prior to that pic I trailed that bear for a few hundred yards and saw him at 35 yards. He was a minimum of 400 lbs in the spring. Beast.

Big bear!! get that way from eating lots of baked goods and dog food.

He wasn't near any dumpsters. He was way up a ridge away from any civilization.
