remington 788 6mm question
« on: February 17, 2013, 10:39:58 AM »
Ive has this 788 for about 25 years havent shot it much. I have been doing some research on it trying to find out what year it was made. serial# 6000294. The ones on remington website in this number range start with an "a" or "b". Also do you know if these barrels were threaded on or pressed?

Probably threaded on-- I know the 700's are.  Go to a gunparts site like www.gunparts.com  (Numrich) and look up the exploded drawings of the gun.  You should be able to tell if the barrel is threaded or not...  :twocents:
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"
