Interested in an adventure in British Columbia?
« on: February 07, 2013, 04:13:47 PM »
Hi Folks:
If anyone is looking for a hunting adventure in British Columbia, give Bearcat Outfitters some consideration.
We offer high-quality hunts for Shiras moose, mule deer, whitetail deer, black bear, cougar, lynx and bobcat.
We are conveniently located in Kamloops which is about 5 hours driving time from the Seattle area and about 3 hours north of the border crossing at Oroville/Osoyoos.
We have generous season lengths (all of October and November for moose and 3 month, open rifle season for mule deer and whitetail deer) and plentiful game populations.
Good luck to all my friends in Washington!

Welcome!    When you get around to it, lets see some moose pics.  I am always entertaining a thought of a Canadian moose so I can round out the big three.   A little scared of the price, but hey, I am always trying to justify it in my mind.

I am new to this site and thanks for the welcome from members. Very impressed so far with all that is going on here.
I think our prices for a moose hunt are pretty fair at $4500 for a 1X1 hunt. 'Government fees' in addition and I can detail if you wish (usually about $1000/hunter, but there are a few variables).
Picture of bull attached taken October, 2012 is 47 inches, which is pretty serious for a Shiras.

Can you use hounds for cougar and what are the regulations for bringing them back over the border?

I know folks who run lion in BC with dogs and you can bring the cats back into the US, Lynx as well.

Getting cats back across the border is pretty straight forward. I have my taxidermist get the CITIES permit organized and he arranges shipment of the trophies through a specialized shipping agent.
