So happy brings up a good point, has anyone had the kahunas to just take a net and catch park birds? Thought about doing this in a local parking lot but just haven't figured out how to do it discreetly.

my buddy's been in Chinatown twice a week. No joke. Said a lady was laughing at him pretty hard. He told her he was a "researcher"...lol. He's gotten 2-4 birds in 30 minutes just about each visit.

He's got a nice aluminum bird box with a spring-door. The sticker on the top says, PETA- People Eating Tasty Animals.

I've got the facility and space for lots of pigeons. I probably have about 30 now and that will triple by mid summer. I've got homers and tumblers and a cross of the two. If anyone wants to plan ahead and order some for the summer let me know. I'd like $5 each for them and do make it to the west side usually in August and can meet for delivery.

For you guys in the Skagit -Whatcom area who only need a couple pigeons to train pups I found a small supply. Pricey though he gets $10.00 a pigeon.

Where were all you guys when I had my license to raise these birds  ? We ate hundreds of chukar as people always want them when they are tough to get, but they do not want to pay for them  . If you want birds in the late winter/spring time and are serious, build a good pen and buy them in the late summer/fall. Find out how much it costs to feed birds through the winter or be willing to shell the $$ when you find them. Chukar are easy to raise and keep, PM me if you want info on how to do it. Remember you can not sell any gamebirds without the license (even if you bought them legally), but you can raise your own for training with a few simple rules.

heres a number for a guy in rainier(close to tenino or yelm) who has quail, chukar and pheasant. ive bought quail from him in the past. 1-360-951-8092

Birdguy & old guy... I was always amazed that people wouldn't seem to shell out some "extra" for birds this time of the year... I've always been amazed at what most people won't bat an eye spending big $$$ on, then complain about a logical increase in something else...

I can only guess that it is because "we" are so detached from how the real world actually works.
