Has anyone been up in the Goose Prairie area (Bumping or Nile) chasing elk?

Up there the other night.  Pretty slow.  Had one bull but you'll have to find that story on here.

Spent entire early archery elk in there.  Had a fantastic time; had bulls going every day and made some memories.

Just get in there and get a 1/4 mile or more off the road and you will find elk. Down hill is better, no one hunts down, or up if its really steep. Not much from the road.
If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

Was in Bumping the 11th-16th. Into animals every day w/ some close encounters w/ bulls but no permit.  They were sounding off pretty good even though it was HOT...      Good luck.
