Another One Bites The Dust
« on: February 21, 2013, 05:24:02 PM »
Had another turkey fly off the roost into the transmission lines in front of the Lodge. Ka-boom, flash of light, electrocuted turkey... This one caught the full force of the shock. Blew open and skinned it's chest. Melted most of it's wing feathers See pics

It's amazing how much power is in those lines.  I used to Chukar hunt up in the Blue Grade area in Douglas County years ago, and you could feel the static electricity in the gun barrel when you walked under those power lines.  Then when we built the rest rooms in the RV Parking Area at Daroga Park, it was right under the transmission lines, and you could hardly carry a length of rebar unless you were wearing gloves!
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"
