Greetings from MT/ID
« on: September 29, 2008, 02:35:40 PM »
Hello guys. Sure has been busy over here. Packed twenty something miles into the Selway to drop off a camp, near Patsy Ann Falls out of Paradise. Dropped off some hay and other essentials. Place is beutifull country, lots of elk, bear, and billies. Well when we get ready to leave, my horse is stove up and awefully sore, so I ended up walking her out behind the string. I had just caught a terrible cold, so it wasn't a great 20 miles out. It sucked pretty bad. But at least I got a camp in there waiting for me.

We had three archery hunters, and out of those three, two got bulls. I had a semi guided guy, and directed him to a good sattellite 5x5 bull, the other bull was a raghorn 4x5. I did happen to catch a glimpse of the biggest public land bull I have ever seen, a true 340-350 bull. Some lucky hunter is going to help me get him out of there, if you know what I mean.

It's been quite hot, and a little slo, but the bulls are still talking and doing their thing. I wish you guys as much luck as I wish for myself. If I don't get to the library again before I go home, talk to you guys in late November.

P.S.- The fishing in the Bitterroot has been fantastic!

If he's up Whitecap on Patsy Ann he's working for Jason Clinkenbeard and World Class Outfitters....and if he's riding a horse...he's probably feeling a little out of place! :0)

Thats cool you saw a big bull up there... they are few and far between, but that country WILL put out a big bull now and again. If you guys get lucky, you'll get some good snow and move the majority of the bulls from Tin Cup over into your area!

Are you working up the W. Fork again??
