Western Washington ..calls
« on: March 12, 2013, 05:15:31 PM »
What works better on the west side? Rabbit in distress or woodpecker in distress? Thanks

What animal are you trying to target? I like bird sounds for cats. Have not had much luck on coyotes with a lot of the bird sounds.

Yeah I would stick more with rabbit if you have them in your areas. You may also have good luck with fawn distress.

I seem to do better with the bird sounds, could be the particular sound I use and areas I hunt ( yotes might have heard the rabbit tune before?).  I do have an old hand call, dying rabbit sound, that always produces, provided the call doesn't plug up and go TU.
