You hit the nail on the head – Need more people to get off their arse. Lazy, complacent, disheartened or whatever their excuse, things need to change if we want proper representation. These numbers fluctuate quite a bit and if O'blaimer  has his way may have other nations vote in our stead- (Illegals)

Only a hair over half the population voted- tells me something is fundamentally wrong with our societies attitude if they don’t recognize what is at stake-

Grabbed this data for reference-  Washington state statistics

As of February 28, 2013, Washington has 3,910,332 active registered voters.
Approximately 79.7% of the state's voting eligible population is registered
Female voters account for approximately 53% of the registered voters, and male voters account for approximately 47% of the registered voters.

2010 General Election Turnout Rates
Last Updated: 2/4/2012

EP Turnout Rate <recommended statistic> is the vote for highest office divided by the voting-eligible population or VEP. In a midterm election, the vote for highest office is the highest vote tally for Governor, U.S. Senator, or combined House of Representatives. The voting-eligible population is the best estimate of the number of people eligible to vote.

Voting-Eligible Population 4,724,989
Total Ballots Counted 2,565,589

Washington    53.1%    -That is pathetic - and appears to be the new norm- Looking at other states only a few were better.

http://nation.time.com/2013/01/15/a-state-divided-as-washington-becomes-more-liberal-republicans-push-back/
The faith Republicans had in McKenna’s chances wasn’t unrealistic. In 2004, Gov. Christine Gregoire, a Democrat, won by only 133 votes out of the 2.8 million cast. Newly elected Gov. Jay Inslee, a former Democratic congressman, carried only eight of 39 counties. All of those counties just so happen to be located within 100 miles of Seattle. “I’ve heard people say, you can stand on top of the Space Needle and see all the votes you need to get to win an election in the state,” said Scott Roberts, citizen action network director at the Freedom Foundation, an Olympia-based conservative think tank.

It's a waste of time contacting these two.  They want bigger government and they want more gun control. Just look at there voting record.  They are representing the majority that voted for them.

So does that mean you won't write them or are you just expressing your exasperation? It's important we continue to write. When the only voices they hear are supporters who like big government, freebies, and no rights, then they get to say that. When they hear from us, they know and must at least consider that some of their constituents disagree with their stands. We must continue to write them, regardless of how futile it feels.

I have wrote Murray many many times over at least the last ten years.  And guess what?  She votes the same way everytime.  It's a waste of time writing to these two.
Welcome to liberal America, where the truth is condemned and facts are ignored so as not to "offend" anyone

I understand your frustration, believe me. But, it's never a waste of time, ever.

Maybe we should save a generic form letter on our computers (Explaining how since that is all we get  in return) and adapt them to every issue??

So, trying to undermine our natural rights is not criminal behavior?  I disagree.  The constitution enumerated our rights, the government was created to protect them. They swore an oath to uphold and protect the constitution,  trying to make it irrelevant or ignoring, is not authorized and no laws are to be made that conflict with the rights enumerated within it.    Cantrell and muddy both work against our rights and against the document that limits their actions. They are criminals and should be held legally responsible.  Also, writing letters and begging these criminals to do the right thing for years has led to the mess we are in now.    Law enforcement needs to arrest them and they should go on trial for helping foreign powers,( banks and U.N.) harm our country.

Go ahead and file charges. Good luck with that. I'm not disagreeing with you about their behavior, but you need to figure out who the enemy is and who isn't, or it's going to get really lonely for you really fast. Attacking like-minded people splits up our efforts and helps no one but the gun grabbers.

The focus needs to be on candidates and a party interested in people and liberty. We often point out how Dem's and unions line their own pockets at taxpayer/payer expense. That has not changed. However, the Republican Party as a whole is just as guilty of being in that tax/take machine. Basically, the workers get a better deal in the short term from the Dem's and there is no other good message in Washington.

Take the guns, make Seattle happy and Seattle gives the two Queens money. Give the Unions more and they are happy and give more money.

What would make you happy? Find that candidate, brand a message and help them.

Government is supposed to contain and control this crap not promote and make billions off of it.
MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.

Murray's big thing, and her base, is "woman's issues".  If we are going to ever get her to change her mind, we have to continualy point out that God may have made all men equal, but Sam Colt included women.

for what?

To do anything will require voting them out. To do that there must be an alliance with the strong union people of Seattle as well as people so eco crazy they poop green. That, or every non Seattle voter must turn out. It's not going to be easy.

I truly believe that the only way we are going to rid ourselves of these two is to build a fence from the puget sound down I-405 and back to the puget sound creating the Great State of Insanity.  Then the state of Washington may be able right it's course, otherwise I believe we've passed the tipping point.

Wasting my time writing letters to these two is no more productive than trying to nail jello to a tree!

 :yeah:

It would be appropriate where they go to hold up signs that say, "warning fruit loops ahead."

For violating thier oaths and vilating our rights, or any other original thinking one could think of to get their attention.
weather or not they throw it out is mute it may just hit the news and make our point.
That Vet who sent the No maam letter spoke volumes to what we feel, but might have said more with a law suit against Feinstein.

Write and CALL our Senators!

Many of you may have noticed that Senator Cantwell and others have been sending out the same canned response to any communication regarding guns.  We should continue to write our emails and letters, but perhaps flooding Senator Cantwell’s and Senator Murray’s Washington, D.C. offices with phone calls letting them know that the canned emails seem to indicate the written communications are only being screened for the word "gun" which triggers the canned response.  Many constituent communications have been written that contained very valid arguments against the recent flood of proposed gun control legislation, but it appears their position is set in concrete regardless of what the people they represent wish for them to do and regardless of our rights guaranteed by the Constitution and Bill of Rights.  They are pushing the gun control agenda as far as they can possibly get it to go by using a terrible tragedy for fuel.  They are marching to a gun control agenda regardless of the damage it will do to our Constitution and Bill of Rights.  Call them for each gun control bill separately so your call related to that bill will logged.  Make their phones ring off the hook letting them know your position.  At this point it appears they have closed their doors to the people that oppose gun control.  We need to make our voices heard.  There are about 275,000 hunters in this state and many more gun owners; we can turn this anti-gun tide with a unified voice.

All of us must get our family, friends, and colleagues engaged in this battle to defend and preserve our rights and freedoms.  Remember, there are about 275,000 hunters in the state of Washington; if they were all engaged in fighting against all of this anti-gun legislation, we wouldn’t be having this anti-gun problem.
