I have several different knives that I carry hunting.  For every day use I have a medium sized Swiss Army knife and a SOG Micron on my key chain, both go everywhere I do, except on airplanes.
Look man, some times you just gotta roll the dice

An old friend used to tell me "a man without a knife is like a soldier without a gun". I'm an Old Timer fan - I bought up a bunch of them while they were still American Made. The one I carry now is a small three-blade model that I've had for over ten years; I won it playing pull tabs at the Antlers Tavern in Twisp, it probably only cost me three times the regular price.

I feel naked if I dont have mine on hand, My muscle memory has been developed for it for quite awhile now. Anytime I reach for it and its not there I almost panic lol, Its like not having my inhaler. Im like ahhhh nooooo. What if this, What if that... What If I need to widdle a base ball bat. These are the two I basically ALWAYS carry on hand. Weather its one or the other.
Usually the Remington with the curly maple handle (On the right).
The one on the left is my Daisy Old-Timer and Is literally razor sharp. Probably because It doesn't get as much use.

I've carried one for most of my adult life and always have a fixed blade on my side in the woods. Rather have that than nothing. Great tools.

Pocket knife is considered a weapon now.  I know they have a no knife policy at cub scout camp.  Not sure if it the same for boy scouts.  I know I carry one every day.

    WHAT??!!!

I'm eighteen and carry my knife everywhere, how do you work without one? Carried mine all through high school too, never once got in trouble for it, even had teachers use ask to use it.  Guess my school wasn't as strict about that  :dunno:

No one is saying he can't have it earlier than that, buy in a large group dynamic, it's not a bad rule. Get twenty 8 year olds together and they get kinda stupid together

Always carry one. Current is a Case medium trapper. My boys (10 y/o) just started carrying their Case peanuts. I also have a variety of different types for other purposes. Its a tool.

pocket when in church and a Gerber multi tool the rest on the time.

Like it better then the leather man. You can open it with one hand and I will use it two or more times a day. Saved my life elk hunting in Montana.

If I am ever without a knife, it's because I laid it down somewhere after using it for something. Otherwise I usually have two on my person and another four or five that I can choose for EDC. I tend to lean to the Spydercos more often than not but in anycase, none of the ones I carry have a blade length of less than four inches.

I have carried a pocket knife every day since I was 13. I'm 61 and still carry my Dad's 2 blade case that I got when he passed in 84. The one I had went in the tackle box, It's still there. Had a buddy that allways wanted to borrow my Knife because he never had one. First thing he would do is cut a wire with it :bash:got where I'd just say no. Have a little SS Buck knife that my Nephew gave me that I don't carry much.
Take a kid hunting or fishing, Pass it on, it's not yours to keep!
