Any spring bear tags filled?
« on: April 09, 2013, 12:12:54 AM »
Post em up!  I know not all of the units opened, but didn't about half of them open up on the 1st?  Somebody must know somebody who has had an early streak of luck huh?  I'm probably just to eager I reckon, but maybe not?

Night time temperatures in those areas are still near or below freezing.  I wouldn't expect much in the way of harvests for another few weeks.  I saw a lot of youth turkey photos with snow still on the ground!  I'm sure some lucky dog might find a bone though.  For me I am not planning on heading that way until mid May unless something spectacular happens with the weather.
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

West side guys should start dropping some right away I expect.  That's less than a week away now!

Hit it pretty hard today in an area that's always held spring bear, but struck out!

I know they're out though, getting reports of sightings but they're just random ditch bears.

Maybe next week.

I did find a dozen deer, 6 ruff grouse and 1 otter  :chuckle:
