Sheds found while hunting
« on: October 21, 2008, 04:56:19 PM »
Since I haven't filled my tag with a buck, I thought I'd share my shed finds from hunting season.

1) The first is the largest I've found from this past opening weekend (a matched set)
2) Is what they look like after I restored the color. They were in remarkable shape and bleached out on the exposed sides only.
3) The next is only one side and is a small four point. Has some cracking so I'll leave it as it is. Found during the second weekend.
4) A size comparison from the pair found opening day and the single found the second weekend.
5) A small two point single side found during the 06 season. Bad shape. The rodents had gotten to it.
6) A closer look at the rodent damage.

I haven't really went out shed hunting. These are just a few recent examples of what I've happened upon while "Out There." I'd like go shed hunting in the winter range someday and see some freshly dropped antlers.
