« on: April 10, 2013, 06:49:36 PM »
Looking at getting a seaswirl 18 foot boat, tried half a$$ed to look for a dealer near by, thought id ask here. Just wanted to know if there was a dealer or available parts for these boats. NEAR SPOKANE! Also any "goods" "bads" anyone may have had with one, just lookin for a heads up. Thanks!

Neighbors used to have one. Never heard any complaints. Built better than a bayliner.  :chuckle:

My parents had a seaswirl spyder when I was growing up, great boat and got up on plane really fast.

They are good fiberglass boats. Until about 6 years ago they were manufactured in Culver City, Or. A small ag community that was lucky to have them there. Oregons regressive business taxes drove them out to i believe Iowa(?).

Ripper just recently got rid of his Seaswirl Striper, the only real complaint from any of us was it's 200hp 2 stroke gashog attached to the back. With a 4 stroke or an in/out it would have been great.
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.

I ran an old heap of a Seaswirl for a while. It looked like crap but never let me down. Was running the 3.0L 4 cylinder iron duke. Had to pull the engine out to replace freeze plugs but that was about it. I don't even remember what year it was.

my dad's been running an '88 305 inboard 18.5' seaswirl since the mid '90's.  GREAT boat!  we've caught a BUNCH of fish from it, camped from it, kneeboarded (hey, it was the late 90's!  :chuckle: )...  he recently upgraded the kicker to a 4-stroke and i'm itching to get back out in it.  my 12' klamath is a great boat, but my kids would love the room in grandpas boat.
