That's what do they are not so smart in the yard but get smart again when they get in the woods.
The bird I shot yesterday only had acorns and greens and some yellow flowers in his craw
I feel a little guilty when I shoot one with full of cracked corn
I feed em whole corn so the little birds don't eat it

That's a two edged sword :chuckle: Fun to have them around but not sure if I'd want all that turkey chit around my house and yard. :chuckle:

reminds me of my wifes uncle. complains about the damage to his deck & cars,gardens etc but wont let you hunt them.

I might feed em in the winter
Not because there pets just to get numbers up there is alot of turkeys this year
All the birds you see in my yard roost and spend 99 percent of there life on huntable property
