Does anyone know if they will have extra life jackets available? I'm going to need 1 more. I agree with all of you, this is going to be a fun time. I can't wait. I will be coming down Friday afternoon with the books and shirts from John's for Randy. I got the message that mooring will be available. Does anyone know if it's secure enough to leave your stuff in the boat overnight?
I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I'm not!

Ripper...I've got an extra or two of the old school orange ones...the type that if you had to use them you would probably prefer to simply drown.....

My neighbor lndshrk leaves his boat there at times. Not sure if he leaves stuff in his boat. I sent him a message asking him. He'll either let me know or chime in here. Stay tuned.

I wouldnt leave stuff loose in the boat overnight there.  I believe guest dock "A" is open to public access 24/7.

I have an extra life jacket if ya need.  It is not the horse collar style that H2O has  :)

Dock "A" is open to the public, so I will not be leaving items out over night. The plan is I will be down to the boat early about 5:15 or so Saturday morning to get everything put back out. The wife and I are staying over at the Port Gardner Inn so I will be up and ready early on Saturday. I know that the boats will probably be safe but I just don't want to take a chance. The guys that run the Port told us that there is little to no theft along there.

I'm just curious if these "horse collar" type life vests are so bad then why are the inflatable ones so popular ?? I have all three kinds and prefer the vest type but I see lots of folks with the inflatable ones !!

Probably because nobody wants to wear a horse collar unless they are trying to prevent drowing. The inflatable can be worn all the time comfortably.

But after your in the water then doesn't it become a "horse collar" which would keep you afloat but not be very comfortable ? I suppose after your in the water none of them would be comfortable really !!

Very true....I've never put my kids in the horse collar ones....they have full vest comfy life jackets when on board. However, if we are sinking I'm not going to complain about the type.

I've decided that I won't be putting in Friday...not worth worring about my stuff. I'll just get up a touch early, get launched, tie up, hang out, that kind of stuff.

yes it becomes a horse collar.  but youre right, at that point you wouldnt care.  the inflatables are very comfortable.  you almost forget you have them on.

I have 4 of the inflatables.  3 of them you have to pull the cord.  the other one(that I  wear) is automatic if I fall in the water.  Alot of times I fish by myself, thats why I wear the automatic one

Drew just got this made for the boat. Job was from Issaquah and was friends with Drew. He was a SEAL with Chris Kyle. He was wounded in Iraq causing him to lose his eyesight. He died of complications from a surgery afterwards.

Not sure why. The picture is the elk pic I posted above.

Retired Navy SEAL

Camp Patriot's National Spokesman

Heaven Bound September 24, 2009

We are saddened to announce that Ryan Job succumbed to complications from recent surgery. He lived a significant 28 1/2 years from March 11, 1981 - September 24, 2009

Please pray for Ryan's wife Kelly, mother Debi, father Eric, sister Kelsie, brother Aaron, Ryan's grandmother and other relatives who are grieving. Also pray for those who had the privilege to know and work with Ryan on the SEAL TEAMS and in his life after retiring.

You may read testimonies about Ryan following this picture:

Ryan was a Born Again Christian who loved Jesus Christ and wanted to serve Him for the rest of his life.  Ryan now is with his Lord and Master, he has regained his sight and awaits his wife and family who love Jesus to join him for eternity.

Ryan was Camp Patriot's National Spokesman. He was filled with enthusiasm about life even though he had given his sight during the fight against terrorism in Iraq.

Ryan was a decorated and revered Navy SEAL.  He was wounded while deployed in Iraq with his SEAL Team in 2006.  Ryan suffered total sight loss when a sniper's round hit the butt of his machine gun, sending shrapnel through his right eye severing his olfactory nerve and left optic nerve.  Ryan underwent what was to be his final major surgery this past week.  Complications that we are not totally aware of took his life after the surgery in Phoenix AZ.

After retiring, Ryan summited Mt Rainier in 2008, bagged a magnificent elk in 2008 and returned to help other injured veterans to climb Mt Rainier in 2009.  Ryan gave of himself selflessly both in military service and in private life.  He is one of those few individuals you meet in life that is irreplaceable.

God bless you Ryan and thank you for your service to America and Freedom around the world. You will be missed and this world is a lesser place since you went home to be with the Lord.  However, we rejoice in your life and your being in the presence of God the Creator forever more. We that remain are anxious for the coming of Jesus Christ that we may again hold you as our brother in Christ.

I would be more than honored to fly that on my boat in his honor! We honor his service and know that he is guarding the gates of Heaven!  :yeah:
