There was a lot less elk in the area than last year. It was HOT the whole archery season so I found the most sign near creeks and down in cool canyons. It was weird to me that the sign could change areas so much from one year to the next. I spent to much time at my old area instead of moving. Bulls seemed more skidish and more nocturnal, they definitely were bedded up and safe long before light. Mike

Not much down low yet on our scouting trips. Might be more if we get some weather up high.
