Many of the anterlers on these animals are synthetic and fake. There are vedors out there, who make them using and injection molding and sell them to furnish these stores. Many are also real. I am wondering if this was real or something built to furnish the store?

That buck is definitely real.  I know because I've seen him several times in my dreams:-). He hangs out in a narrow cleft on top of a steep ridge exactly 23 miles behind a locked gate at 5600 hundred feet in the backcountry of Montana.  He is a very wise buck, though, because I never get to put my hands on him.  I've sent an arrow at him a couple of times but then.., I woke up!

This happens more than you think. I am surprised by the number of reproductions out there.

I would think there would be a lot of replicas out there.  Hunters may not want to give up their originals but a replica instead. If any of you shot a lets say state record deer or elk, would you sell the original head/body mount or would you sell a replica or not sell either?  Obviously the original would sell for more.  I've thought that through in my head but still haven't come to a conclusion yet.

I few years back I went to the Rocky Mtn. Elk Foundation headquarters in Missoula, MT. Everything in there is real. I asked them how they go about getting their hands on all these trophies and record book animals. They said many are donated, but they also lease them from the hunters. In some cases they pay for the mount.

Most of the animals you see in Cabela's and Sportmans Warehouse are replicas, from what they told me. There are a few that are real thou.

Resturants like the Claim Jumper and Famous Daves BBQ; those are replicas in most cases.

I would take a replica like that! Man the story I could come up with  :chuckle:
Granted the ability to cause a A nuclear explosion that produces a rapid release of energy from a higher power resulting in the sudden and catastrophic demise of a thread.

Confucius say:
A crowded elevator smells different to a midget!
Man that go to bed with itchy butt wake up with stinky fingers!
Man who fight with wife all day get no piece at night.
