Ok....GoPro3 has been updated, charged and tested. I'm very impressed with the video quality. Here is the test clip. Nothing fancy....just the boy taking a lap around "the pit" on his bike.

Were you recording on 960?
I notice there's the infamous black lines on the sides, that's the same reason some people don't use certain resolutions.

Here's my test Timelapse at Cabelas the other day.

Cabela's Rotating Timelapse - Gopro

Photo taken every 5 seconds. On a modified kitchen timer mount.
Put together into a video at 12fps.

I just threw this together, This is how its actually assembled. Just in-case anyone needs basic directions.
The rest is self explanatory. But Ill keep designing little blueprints in-case people want to follow this thread.

What if instead of putting a nosecone on the pvc tube, you inserted the ball directly into the tube?  If you found a good fit, you could screw the tube directly to the ball with a slit in the top of the tube for the attaching ring on the ball.  Not sure if this is clear, I'm too tired to figure out drawing it tonight.

Loki.....was chatting with a buddy that is fish minded as well as very mechanically inclined. I ran the "ball in the tube" theory past him and he came up with some issue. #1...the tube would restrict the water flow over the fin of the ball and create issues. #2...if the tube is not capped it could easily plug with weeds and then you would have no flow.

I am going to putter this weekend with a torpedo build...I think that is going to be the best way to keep it fairly weed free, tracking straight, and fairly streamlined.

Yeah and it was setup to take a photo every 5 seconds, 2 seconds would be a more fluid video once put together but I was just testing. It gives a great rotating style motion and lets you watch the clouds and everyone go crazy :chuckle: Ill take a picture of it in a bit and show you guys. I just worked last night on my first actual video that I think turned out great. Let me know what you think H2o, Its of me and my ladies hike.
