Convertible Muzzleloader Suggestions

Hey gang,

I'm thinking about completing the circle this year and adding a smokepole to my hunting repitoire. i've heard of a muzzy or two that can be modified (legally) so that it can be used in more restrictive states like WA and then other states where scopes and inlines are permissible. Can anyone tell me the names of such guns and whether they're worth having?

Knight "disc extreme" would be and is my first choice.
Here is mine.  Just a change of the breech plug and add or remove the scope and your ready to go. Peep and bases are Talley

As already suggested the Knight DISC Extreme is one of those rifles that can be made Pacific Northwest Legal and yet be change back to provide the performance of a modern inline muzzleloader.  It is an extremely good rifle, accurate and dependable.

Knight has introduced a new rifle that also fills the bill and is an excellent rifle - the Ultra-Lite...

Right now on hunt-wa classifieds a member has a knight bighorn and a knight wolverene for sale. Very reasonable price. Great condition and WA legal. also convertable to whatever ignition system you want.

I have a Remington chambered in .270 and a Ruger chambered in .30-06. I paid $200 for the Remmy and $300 for the Ruger. used, beat up, and old. Love it at the range. I pull the trigger, it goes bang. Kill stuff, fill freezer. I think that people spend way too much on their weapon systems and not enough on optics, boots, gas for scouting, etc. I have no desire to drop $1,000 on a weapon only to be too fretted out about putting a scratch on it that I never want to use it for what I bought it for. Used, scratched, maybe even a little rust is fine by me.

Thompson center black diamond has treated me well. I scope it for bear and modern firearm deer and it does fine eather way. I bought it ay G.I joes for 200 dollars.

Iam to understand that you can take your scope off and then put the peep on and the zero stays the same.

I have my peep set to hit 4" high at 100 yards setup for my eastern Wa hunting and my scope set the same on the main crosshairs, you can zero your peep/scope(Leupold VX3 2.5-8X36 B&C) for whatever you want.
I hunt Ohio's gun season(no bottle neck rifle cartridges)and IMO the ML is the way to go for anything 200+ yards, Out of my ground blind off shooting sticks I cover and area that my shooting can run out as far as 300 yards. Longest kill to date....254 yards says the Leupold rangefinder. Took this buck with the ML in Ohio. One shot drop! Smashing does is a good time as well

I was thinking about a peep-site, scope combo for my disk extreme.  I hoping to find a weaver/picitinny rail type base where I can leave the peep site on, and only remove the scope when needed. Anyone got one of those?

I've alway wanted to hun in Ohio, I did most of my deer hunting in Upstate New York and Northern Pennslvania.

Ohio and Indiana alway looked like nice deer country.

i had the knight 50 cal bighorn already I just finaly found the sights I needed.

If you want something cheap, light and dependable, CVA Buckhorn 209, nothing special, but i live how light it is. Just need a musket cap breech plug and you're good to go. It's drilled and tapped for a scope, I've seen used ones on Gunbroker for $90
