Archery Elk SW WA, or Idaho central?

Im not saying that they are being quite just because they hear a wolf howl... they are staying mute year round to stay undetected because they know if they bugle a wolf will be on them in no time... And just because bulls are taken out that doesnt mean they are big... Havent seen a decent pic on this site so far...

   I think this site is called Hunt-WA  Not Hunt-Idaho  Maybe thats why you havent seen bulls posted from Idaho ?

Idaho without a second thought.  Way more game and higher quality animals if you are willing to put in the work.

U should say there use to be more game and higher quality animals... I havent seen very many big bull photos taken out of there this year..?  I would rather save money by hunting in my home state instead of spending more money by driving over there and the other expenses, when your probably going to see lots of doggy prints on the ground (Wolves) and ive heard that the elk over there are getting smarter and most are mute because of the wolves...

Have you ever hunted Idaho?  Everybody knows the wolves are bad in Idaho and its effected the elk hunting, however there are still Monster bulls to be had in Idaho OTC....   Get to Idaho early find the heard and call UM in, you should know that Bildo...

Have you hunted them?     Again everyone knows there are wolves in Idaho lots of them...  And yes the elk adapt to the Wolves, they do shut up when they hear the wolves howl, same thing as the Moose in Canada, when the wolves howl the moose adios, point being made you can still call and kill the $hit out of the moose in canada and call and kill the $hit out  of the bulls in Idaho!...

There are plenty of Idaho bulls on here.  The ones you really want to see, though, aren't on here.

Respectfully, let me give you some advice.  The nice thing about this site is sharing, we don't share honey holes but we share nonetheless.  When someone who has no clue about a subject, such as this, and responds negativley to the OP (who has an honest question) it may keep the OP from going at all and that would be a shame.

As much as I don't want to see anyone else on the mountain I happen to be on, I recommend everyone take a trip out of state if they can.  It is night and day different, if you do the work.  Way too many don't step out because they were told that the wolves have eaten up all the game or that the tags are too expensive, or they don't know where to go.  There is some truth to that but it isn't a desert and it in fact can be like hunting in a zoo if you find the right place.

Hunting is just about like everything else in life, the top 10% take 90%.  You know the guy, the one that always punches his tag (or could have punched his tag) every single year and seems to get the highest quality animal.

There is some great hunting in Washington but it is nice to still be able to pull into a hardware store with wood floors and buy a Deer/Elk tag over the counter and know that you will see quality animals and very few hunters.

I do have enough money but i love hunting in Western Washington for elk... Maybe i can show you a few spots of mine haha

Hey Billdo! back at it again huh?

The elk in Idaho are not going mute at all because of the wolves, they're actually still pretty vocal where I deer hunt and there are always fresh wolf tracks everywhere.

You should go over there some time and see for yourself. Besides if that was the case then wouldn't most west side bulls be mute because (SPORTSMAN) call them in and either spook them or shoot them?

I've never hunted west side elk so I only hear what the elk hunting is like over there and couldn't give this person advice on his question? Just like you've only heard what the elk hunting is like in Idaho, but yet you tell him some rumor you heard.

Do you know how rumors are spread Billdo? They're spread by someone giving BS advice to someone else because they heard something from a friend of a friend who drove through Idaho and saw a wolf track.
