Smossy....maybe you and your little lady can make it up my way for a trip? Tides are sweet sweet sweet on the 18th/19th weekend. I will probably need a break from bear hunting and could use some fresh filets.
Don't fall for this, man.  You and your girl will  show up and after you load your beer cooler into the boat H20 will be all like "Oh, sorry man - my bro in law is coming along to throw flounder bombs at random boats, so we don't have enough room... How about your girl gives you a call when we get back to the dock?"   :chuckle:

What?????????

Don't listen to him Smossy.....this is the guy that will take your flounder bombs and catch mass crab...he also likes to drop pots in oh.....140 feet of water.....with 100 foot line!!!!!!! Also...he makes promises of pictures that may or may not exist of deck hands (deck wench's) in skimpy swim suits!

I'm jealous of all you guys. I just picked up an ugly stick ling rod at a g-sale the other day just to have, but my 12' boat is a little small for the salt.  :'(

It may be a little small. You could look into fishing right out in front of the Edmonds Jetty. Plenty of lings to be had there. You need nice calm water in your little boat but if things turn a bit you can zip right in.

D.....we should schedule a time to get out that same weekend I mentioned to Smossy. Not that many chances in a season to have such nice tides.

I prefer not drowning out there. I've seen people get surprised out there. If it had taller sides i'd consider it, but the transom could be easily swamped with even a big roller. Trust me, i've considered the risks many times.

That is a crabbing strategy.  It's called a "long soak".  I'm just waiting for a REALLY low tide to go get that pot...

And you know the rules.  No GPS coordinates, no borderline inappropriate photos of deck wenches with self-esteem issues.

Let's get that boat of yours going. if i hadn't just bought my house i'd be looking at buying something like that to get out in the salt with.

There are! Puget sound has them as well out of Westport. Call All Star charters in Seattle.
best bang for the buck might be Randy Lato out of LaPush though...

Okay....I'll see what I can line up. I'd like to fish pretty much all weekend weather permitting.
