Our member Sled has graciously donated a 2100 round ammo can full of .22LR 36 grain hollow points.
I assume this will have to be a local pickup only as the way I understand it ammo cannot be shipped. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong on that one. Sled is in Lake Stevens.

Bidding starts now and runs till 3pm tomorrow 5/2/13. When the clock strikes 3, it's over.

Money goes to Boneaddict via paypal massivemuleys@aol.com or you can pm him for a mailing address to send a check.

Happy bidding.

I've seen it posted several times on here that it cannot. I think JRebel knows the details. I'll ask him.

OK...I will make this short and sweet.   :chuckle: :chuckle:

Yes you can ship ammo and it is really easy.  You have to ship using UPS ground.  USPS will not touch ammo and Fed X is a real pain in the rear.

In the case of this auction the easiest way  to ship it would take the ammo out of can and ship the two separate.  You have to wrap the ammo tight in a heavy duty cardboard and tape it well with clear packing tape.  On three sides of the ammo package, you need to attach a printed label in the largest boldest print possible that reads "ORM-D" (very important).      Real simple....print off three "ORM-D" and tape it with packing tape to the package.

You can get on UPS web site and estimate shipping....From experience it will cost approx. 15 dollars per two boxes shipped.  This cost may go down if you can package all 4 together, but there is a weight limit per ammo package.  I will see if I can find the weight limit and update the post.

The ammo can may be shipped in any fashion with any carrier....it is not just an empty container.

I know people will argue the above, but I have shipped lots of ammo and there is nothing to it if someone is willing to pay shipping.  Unfortunately ammo is heavy so it cost quite a bit for a small package.

I often travel to and from the west side, as many other HW members so if the buyer is patient I am sure transport can be arranged when someone is traveling through....Just a thought.

Matter of fact I will be in the Monroe area within the next two weeks and can return the ammo to central washington area..no charge.

Hope this helps.

Weight limit is 66 lbs....so package all 4 together.

I will run the numbers and get back to this post with what it would cost to ship (with and w/o the ammo can.

The only reason I say seperate the two is the ammo can adds a lot of inches and they charge by weight and deminsions of the package.

OK....Ran the number and you would be fine shipping all of it in the ammo can.  To my surprise it only added 75 cents to the cost of shipping.

I ran the numbers fron Monroe area to Wenatchee....just cause I know those zip codes....and the estimated cost to ship is only $21.

Make sure if you ship in the ammo can that you pack around the ammo on the inside good so the ammo does not shift and flop around....this could be a deal breaker.

Make sure you wrap the ammo can in thick cardboard just as if you were wrapping the ammo alone.   Lable it the same with 3 ORM-D lables.

And ship away....The cost above is only an estimate based on actual weight and deminsions of the ammo and ammo can.  Your shipping destination will change the cost.  My experience is cost doesn't fluctuate much in the state of WA....just a few dollars here and there.

Hope this helps...Happy Bidding.
