Popeshawnpaul is the president and Todd_ID is the VP. Perhaps they can chime in.

Back in the 90's when I was actively attending wildlife commission meetings for our hound group the WSB guys were actively supporting bow hunting. They have been active for many years and have done well for bow hunters.  :twocents:
Thanks for the kind words, bearpaw!
We at the WSB work on a regular basis to promote bowhunting across the state.  The WSB has garnered a lot of respect at the state level decision-making meetings, and we work weekly, if not daily, to better those relationships so when a season or rule is in jeopardy, then what we, as a collective voice of thousands, have to say about it is listened to very intently.

Our mission is simple:
Washington State Bowhunters is a non-profit organization established to promote bowhunter education, improve archery seasons in Washington and represent the bowhunters of Washington State. W.S.B. was incorporated in December of 1976.

How we go about achieving that mission is through a dedicated group of volunteers selflessly giving time and effort to help the bowhunters across the state.  From the beginnings of the WSB with names like St. Charles, Rinaldi, Link and Burdick to today's crop of volunteers: you can rest assured that someone is fighting for the rights of bowhunters!

This might not be the place for this, but does WSB support archery education being manditory or are they pushing for it?

Of course they would support education (who wouldn't) but I was wanting to know if they would support additional regulation on archery hunting such as a course like this.

We have not, and likely will not, fight for mandatory bowhunter education.  We do, however, strongly support the WBEP program and will continue to do so long into the future.

The main thing we do is lobby for better seasons and support all bowhunters.  Yes, unfortunately, we need this still today as user groups, WDFW, and those with interests other than bowhunters attempt to take a slice of our pie.  We are a non-profit organization and work hard at it without pay to benefit bowhunters (traditional, compound, who cares).  If you are one of the guys that sits in his easy chair and picks up the regulations each spring to look at the seasons, trying to figure out what you will hunt we benefit you.  If you are one of the guys that looks at those regulations and wonders, why did they do that?  We benefit you.  And if you are one of the guys that says, I've had enough, I would like to do something about ....?  We are your group.

We have been around since 1976 and helped to get the bowhunting seasons in Washington.  We have had members like Glen St. Charles, Dennis Dunn, and countless other well recognized bowhunters.  However, most bowhunters think we have it pretty good so there is no need to support us anymore.  Just wait until it's your season or unit that gets cut with no explanation or one without reasonable sense.  That apathy is an issue we are trying to deal with.  We are building a new website and it will be up soon at www.WSBowhunters.org.  It will be a place to get a membership and get information on what matters to you in bowhunting.  If you bowhunt in WA we are the group for you.  If you don't like how we do things then join us, apply for a board membership, and change it.

We appreciate the support and hope to be on HuntWA soon!
