Anyone catch anything today?

It was absolutely gorgeous out today and decided to do some fishing while the lady was at her firearm's class.
Caught a few bows today out on the lake and Its got me all excited for this years fishing adventures.
Gonna be a good year.. With the humpy run on top of that. Ohhh boy. 

Got these guys prepped with some butter, onions, and a little Johneys seasoning. Just waiting for the BBQ to heat up

This was yesterday....the kids had a blast.  That is my sons first fish ever, don't know who was happier...him or me!!

My daughter is a natural, as usually she outfished us all.

Haha, love those photos.. Specially the second one, Hes like  My fish is still bigger, cause its mine!
Cant wait until me and my lady have children one day and I get to put a rod and reel in they're hands.

I was out at Tanawax today for an hour or so. Couple of bites but I didnt catch any. It is kinda strange because I alway catch at least a couple of trout there this time of year. Thats why its called fishin.

For sure, I left because all the darn people in they're boats who like to hang out right above our fishing hole in like a 1/4 acre spot.
When its a 32 acre lake. That's pretty ridiculous. There was a few people exchanging foul words to say the least.
I couldn't sit down for 5 minutes without getting a nibble at one point, Had 2 fish on and landed in probably 10 minutes. The other about half hour later. Then nothing for about an hour (That's when the boats moved in) Then the fish just stopped biting, or ran to another spot in the lake.

Lost three lings  One snapped my leader  and the other two just got off

Still only have my baitfish to eat since ling season opened

Ya, I am cursed!!! I can pull up every ling that burns my reel and is 4 ft. long, but when it comes to a ling that is in the slot  I have never caught a ling under the size limit. I guess I am immune to catching dinks  I couldn't even catch bait that was under 12"

Kokanee fishing yesterday... all C&R except for the two that were hooked a little deep.  Them two are going on the BBQ right now

Whatever bites! (except rockfish in PS) Today flounder, but I like bullhead or some other sculpin because they are easy to keep alive and squirming

I took my boy out for some kokanee this weekend. Nailed 8 over 12" each day. He talked me into swinging into a bay  and trying for smallmouth even though we didn't have any bass vear with us. He has never fished for bass and he managed these 2 for his first! He even did it with an 5' ultralight rod and 4lb test!

not sure if anyone will be into this or not. When I still lived back east, we lived and breathed striper fishing on the Hudson River this  time of year. My buddy sent a pic of what he caught today....
