not sure if anyone will be into this or not. When I still lived back east, we lived and breathed striper fishing on the Hudson River this  time of year. My buddy sent a pic of what he caught today....

 :yike:

How Id love to bring in a fish that size. Still never to this day.

Fish weren't biting, but any time on a lake is better than a day at the office.

True, I've wanted to pick up one of those pontoons. They look fun. And easy to transport. Think a trolling motor would fit on the back of that thing? :chuckle:

Nice bass I caught. We've been on a lot of bass and trout so far.
Opener of trout four of us fishing had limits of two over 14 each and finished the rest of the limit with 13 plus inches. We had several up around 17 inches. Same with the next day. Don't ever bother taking pics of trout just because they don't interest me for pics much.
Maturity is when you have the power to destroy someone who did you wrong but instead you breathe, walk away, and let life take care of them.

We went shrimping on Sat and got 282. We had 4 licenses fishing and came up 38 short of limiting the boat. Fun day.
Hood canal by any chance? We've went clamming out there a few times and found 100's upon 100's of bodies minus the tails.
Dont even think shrimping was in season at the time either, so we were double wtf

Boy do those things look tastey, How hard are they to catch? How many shrimp pots do you use, how far apart, and what kind of bait do you use?

Yes, they have everything in there, just me not catching crap.  The wind was horrible and my spot was bad too.  I have no boat so off the shore it was.  I did see a couple of monster carps floating dead, so I know there is big ones in there, good luck on your bow fishing adventure, this should be fun.  I want to try it one of these days I'm hiring carpsniper to take me out, lol

I picked up the pontoon boat off Craigslist last winter for $150. I'm fighting one leak in the left bladder but I can get 5hrs on the water the way it is. The rack has a motor plate but I don't have an electric yet. I've rigged up a pole holder so I can row/troll at a relaxing speed. As light as they are these things are great in calm water but winds up to 20mph make for difficult manuverability. There were whitecaps on Silver Lake (Whatcom) on Sunday morning. Made for a tough trip across the lake to find a calm cove. Great excersize though. Working on the pecks!

Weve got a nice marine battery and a brand new kota trolling moter. It gets our all aluminum 17 foot canoe cruising at a decent speed for travel. I imagine it would work great for one of those pontoons. I was gonna pick one up yesterday for $100 but people were saying not to.
