Little Belt Mountains between great Falls and White Sulphur Springs has a HUGE elk herd and the surrounding foothills and coulees are ridiculously full of mulies and whitetails, especially on the north side of the Littles between Stockett and the mountains.

Careful though, there is a lot of private property.
