Montana License
« on: May 09, 2013, 01:45:37 PM »
I was surprised when I purchased my Non Resident license online that there was no requirement to show proof of Hunters safety. They just assigned me an ALS number and I was good to go. Anybody else think this is odd?

yea if you were born after Jan 1st 1985 you should see some of the hoops you have to jump through before you can purchase your tags and if your a youth hunter you have to go through twice as much. we do it every year and you think they would have some of this stuff on records.
Whack em and stack em

Did anyone else hear that if you were born in Montana but no longer a resident you can now hunt it as if you were?

That is the "Come home to hunt" introduced in 2009 when HB585 passed. With the lack of license sales there really is no difference between going that route or simply applying as a regular non resident hunter.

Actually it may even be easier as a non resident since the "Come home to hunt" license requires a family member to purchase a license and sponsor you, prices are the same as any non resident as well.
