I don't think this guy was "attacked", and besides, he was giving it right back to us. As a group, the hunters on this forum will call BS on anybody that says they have taken 200 elk in the past couple of years. We all have a hunting buddy or know a hunter that always tells us BS stories, and that's what MonsterBullSh*ter was doing. I'm just sayin!!!

The insults were flying both ways maybe...but which way doesn't matter. The BS was called on this guy before he even joined the forum. Call it what you want. It's over and done.

We used to tell people to pound sand for whining, but the people whined about it so we quit. Instead we just listen to it now.  I don't get it.

Looking at the guys site, it is just the same animals in different pictures over and over- there are only 5 branched bulls ( the one is the funky photo shop suspect bull) on the page and the one water buff.  :dunno:

I could give a rip about grammar on here, it does detract from a web page promoting your services though. 

All the info just does not add up on this one.   :twocents:

I was going to post this on the other thread, but the subject is locked now. I have hunted with monster bulls and I know him well. He does have a lot of private land to hunt, that holds some nice bulls. He will work hard for you as well.

Tangent + random thought... since I have all the big guys eyes right now.

Have you guys (mods/admin/owner) considered implementing a rating system of members and their content contribution by any community member? I'm sure you get plenty of 'report to moderator' feedback but members could rate the value of the content (pic, video, replies, insights, etc) contributed.  That way over time individuals who regularly contribute solid feedback, advice, insights, etc would eventually bubble up to combine with the overall # of posts.  If we're seeking quality it may reduce folks from just posting a pile of useless or inappropriate stuff. 

Maybe a combination of # of posts & community rating gives you X.  I really don't know what X would be yet that's what it's a random thought.  Maybe a special iconography or badge to go with your profile but it also gives credibility to those that know what they're talking about. Mods and admins gets X right away but everyone starts in the same place.  Hunt-WA members would also be able to give a negative rating of a fellow user too drive towards a heightened community status that maintains value and something others seek to achieve.

Maybe there's a widget, tool or a tiny bit of custom code to provide that functionality providing you guys liked the idea and it was flushed out a bit more. My hunch is the competitive nature of guys on this board might drive them to behave better and actually think through posting instead of some of the verbal vomit.

I have never seen a forum do something like that. In my opinion that would be a terrible idea. You rate people based on whether you think their info is worthy. To subjective.

I think the idea is meant for the extremes. Extremely helpful, someone could show respect. Extremely disrespectful, harassing, thread derailers will be more obvious. Could be useful to the mods. :dunno:

its a good idea but you hang around a bit and it becomes pretty obvious, some of the folks with lots of knowledge and some true trophies are very quiet here and its a shame as theres lot to be learned from them

Don't get me wrong net. I wasn't trying to bash you. I just don't think a rating system like that would help more than maybe hurt. There are a couple other sites I belong to that may have an idea. One other hunting site has an applaud/smite ticker, and a motorcycle site has a thanked feature.  :twocents:
