Exculsive Weyco Access
« on: May 14, 2013, 07:47:45 PM »
A few people have told me that when Weyco starts charging hunter to use the Vale and Pe Ell tree farms this fall that they will also give you a key to the gates so you can drive all the roads you want, regardless of their road classification system. However I dont see anything stating that on the hotline or from any other posts on this forum. Anyone know anything on this or it just a false rumor goin around?  :dunno:

I can guarantee you they will still shut it down to fire danger and won't let you in. If that's what you're asking.

For Vail, they will give you a key, but there are only two access points: Sorensen Road and Big Hanaford Road.

All the info is here:

I believe for Pe Ell, even if you have the access permit, the dot system will still apply.

Cain't see em giving out a key, it would be a security nitemare! Even with 2 acces points, unless they man em, which they won't...

If you go to the Weyerhaeuser site, it says people will be given a key. There will be a deposit required on the key, and if lost, it will not be replaced, and the deposit will not be refunded.

I've only been posting about Vail. I did not read up on the rules for Pe Ell.

You know what would be totally awesome ? If weyco dropped this plan of turning their tree farms into private hunt clubs. Hope your by the computer at midnight when these permits go on sale.  After weyco employees and their buddies get theirs not too many will be left.

i would assume they would use hancock as a model, which in that case you get a key to access their property, your allowed in an hour befor sunrise to an hour after legal shooting light i believe. hancocks way has been working pretty good for years
my grandpa always said "if it aint broke dont fix it"
