That is perfect. I don't use mono at the end.....straight braid.
The monos just incase he runs under something, I need to break off. That way I only lose a tiny bit of mono instead of X amount of braid. Were heading to the store now to pick some stuff up.

What are the tides doing this weekend that makes it one of the best of the year?

Just curious, not to much time in the saltwater.

What time are you all planning on hitting the water?

I'm probably launching around 7am, plan to be back in by 1pm.
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”

That's funny, I actually do better on the lings when the water is moving a bit more.  Seems the harder the fishing, the better I do.

I'll be sneaking out at 5:30 tomorrow on a neighbor's boat to the south end of Lopez for shrimp and maybe some lings.  And, I'll still get a fiull day's work in.
