Name that clam
« on: May 28, 2013, 08:23:17 AM »
We ran across this clam in the Hood Canal and I wasn't sure what it was. Was maybe 2" across. I'm thinking maybe an immature horse clam?

Progressives are coming for your guns.
What are you going to do?

Well me, I do not have any guns, gave away or sold them 15 years ago.

Brian, sorry we missed you out there Sunday. I didnt realize I had a call from you until about 5 o clock. Was looking forward to meeting you.
We got our limits of steamers and 1 goeduck. Had several marked but the tide just didnt go out quite far enough. I think we are going to try it again the 22nd of next month. Called my son at 530 Sunday morn and told him  not to make the drive up, it rained all night. Then wouldnt you know it, it clears off and is a pretty decent day. Really mised having the grandkids up there. Felt even worse when I heard that my Grandson got up and was dresssed. Told his Dad he was ready to go. His mom said he slept in his clothes so he would be ready.

My brother in law keeps those varnish clams but not me. Yuck! He also got some monster horse clams. Dont care for those either. I'll put some pics up if I can figure out how to get them off my phone.
