Colockumelk Golf Auction
« on: May 30, 2013, 10:49:20 PM »
With Memorial Day earlier this week I'm sure many of you turned your thoughts to people like Colockumelk, Aaron Blanchard, and others who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of freedom.  Today I got the chance to golf at Yakima Country Club through one of the auctions to help Aaron's family, it was a sobering experience to have such a great day but at the same time be aware of why the auction took place.  I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank jackelope and boneaddict for their service in organizing all the auctions.  I also want to thank Austrian Hunter for providing a very memorable day of golf.  I went with my father and two brothers, everyone at YCC made us feel very welcome, the course is beautiful and meticulously maintained, the food was great, all-in-all it was the best golfing experience I believe I've ever had.  Again, thank you to everyone that was involved and may God continue to bless and watch over Aaron's family.
Disappointments are inevitable, misery is optional.

Awesome. Thank you. Really glad you guys had a good time with your dad. Sounds like a great day.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield
