I started watching his stuff, and couldn't get a few thoughts out of my head...

1. Who is this guy and what are some of his credentials? I mean there is nothing wrong with telling people "My background in long range shooting is that I am..........." A little bit of knowledge of who you are, where you come from on the topic and what makes you qualified to talk about it goes a long way.

2. The shots he is showing could be nothing more than clever editing on walked in shots... Even the worst shooter, given 100rds and enough time could potentially make a long range shot by walking in the shots...

3. What he is talking about can very easily be taken from books and regurgitated as his own... All the seems to show is the same 2min loop of him and his buddies making these extreme long range shots... over and over and over and over and over...

Maybe he is legit... But there just seems to be something about his info, the way he presents it that doesn't seem right...

Probably... 

I don't know... I am probably just being overly suspicious... Just something seems wrong, just doesn't really feel right and I can't put my finger on why.

Phone isn't working well so I only caught one of his cleaning videos for a few seconds and I don't agree with his method of using brushes. I've gotten better and much more consistent results by going brushless and rarely clean for copper anymore.

Also anybody that claims to be a "sniper" without showing creds is questionable. Long range shooter sure why,not? The other...

Yeah I saw that... I stopped cleaning for copper as well in my long range rigs... I generally just bore snake them while hot, and put them away. If they are going to sit any longer than 2 weeks I will oil patch them.  When I go to the range I will put 2 fouling shots down the bore before doing anything precision related, or shooting for score...

Yeah, I don't know why it bugs me so bad, but something about not having a back story just makes it all seem so fake...

His shooting methods seem solid, his cleaning method is frowned upon by the shooting community. Use a quality cleaner and quit using brushes on your barrel and you'll ensure max bore life. Patches only and only clean for copper when you see accuracy start dropping off (groups opening up).

As far as the whole 'sniper' thing goes, it's coming off more "tacticool" than anything and a lot of guys will write him off without showing his creds.

His words are sound... But that is the problem, there is no real demonstration of them or anything to back them up... Meaning I can go buy 10 books from barnes and noble and become an expert at sounding like an expert...

There are also several videos that are just suspect... The link here is to a 1236yd shot... Where he put the first, cold bore shot on a 2 3/8"x6" target (16oz beer can)... That is .1MOA on a cold bore shot at 1236yds.  Also, if you watch the shot, the can falls in front of the target... While when he gets to the target he picks the can up from behind the target. 

The other problem I have is that he takes his yardage that he DIALS IN from a GPS.  Civilian handheld GPS generally has an error of ~30', give or take... At that distance, that is the difference between 1click at 3.8" and 4.3" (He uses MILS) So just in the GPS error he has 1/2" of (unknown) error, or at those distances definitely the difference between a hit and a miss... Especially since the hole he shows in the can is just about 1/2" from the bottom...

Well...ok...I watched that video and you are quite right about suspicions. That would be one heck of a shot though.  I have a hard enough time keeping them with in 18" at 1000 meters.  Don't shoot that far much though.  Usually I only stay at 300-500.

I too never use a brush. The shot at 1200+? Definetly do- able, even repetitive, with a good shooter and a good gun....

Doable, totally... Even repeatable... But I don't believe this guy actually made that shot.
