same fish. any way to prevent the fish from turning lighter after you bleed them?

yes, first dont bonk them just rip the gill and let the blood gush out, gut them, and get them in ice immediately :tup:

I usualy bleed them out ( cut/ tear the gills then put them on a stringer and put them back into the lake and some times they keep swimming for a few mins and bleed out. Maybe I will start carring ice with me and gutting them.
