David Jennings and Jay Kehne Senate floor votes

I'm proud of Don Benton for voting the right way on both. Writing does make a difference. When I first talked to them on this topic two years ago, his aid told me that normally, gubernatorial appointments are unopposed out of courtesy. I responded that courtesy to her highness may be on the Republican platform, but not on mine. Don and I have since had a face-to-face discussion on the wolf program and I believe he gets it. His vote confirms that for me.

I think Kehne was only appointed & not confirmed.

That was a confirmation vote. He cannot be removed until his term expires.

Dale – The Governor asked that the nomination of David Jennings be rescinded, which the Senate agreed to yesterday.     Jay Kehne was confirmed, as an at-large member, rather than an Eastern Washington member.

 That's good I guess....

It beats the heck out of Jennings being on the commission. I would think this is directly related to phone calls and letters from us sportsmen.

 I was speaking of Khene not being an E Wa. member, but at large. Good that we don't have a West thinker in an East position.
