bear down
« on: June 09, 2013, 08:58:18 AM »
well, my wife was able to put a great shot on a nice boar yesterday morning. being the one-upper that she is, she had to shoot a big boar at 28yds to best my 38yds. one shot from her T3 lite, with a 270wsm accubond.

it was an area i had scouted, we went in last sunday but were a little late. the area was thick with sign still.
so saturday morning we roll out early and hike into the spot. this is where it starts to sound familiar if you read my bear story. i sit down, begin checking the trailcam while she goes to look up ahead. not much time has gone by when she comes running back "whisper yelling" bear! bear! bear! she crouches up next to me. he's coming right toward us. she slips off her pack for a rest and clicks the safety and he's still coming straight toward us. she says im just gonna shoot him in the neck, i said wait, right then he turned the side a little, BAM! he flopped over, then rolled on his back kicking and she racked another, then all was quiet. way to go lynzie!

Congrats!  Nice bear..
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.
