Didn't see any Bear, but I think I saw a Bear Turd...

As the subject indicates...

Didn't see any Bear, but I think I saw a Bear Turd...

I went back to Blewett Pass and headed South on NF-9716. I was going to drive up past where the snow stopped us a couple of weeks back: NF-9712. I don't know what the FS is doing. The road was closed. I'm not sure what game the FS is playing. The sign said, the road was closed till it dries out. I hiked 4 miles of road and it was dusty the whole way. Note to FS: It's dry now, so you can open the road...

Google Earth Picture of my route:

Walked clockwise from where it's indicated "Road Was Closed Here", up to "the Plateau", then on to "Where I Dropped over the Side", and then to where I "Found a Jeep Trail" and finally back to where i started.

The plan was to scout for Bear, Elk and Deer... Get some exercise, get some Sun, get some air... I carry my rifle, I can't shoot any of the above, but if I see a Coyote it's done.

Some Pictures:

On the way to the Plateau:

Forest Fire Damage up on the Plateau:

Mt Rainier in the Distance, from where "I Dropped Over the Side"

Bear Turd:

On the Jeep Trail

Not a bad day, I'm kind of sunburn. Got to shoot, got to scout and saw some new country.

Looks like you had a good hike in some beautiful country

Nice pics, thanks for sharing...

I'm a firm believer that any day out scouting that looks as nice as your pics show is a great day to be out there enjoying it  ;)

The *censored*ty thing was all the mushroom pickers were driving in there picking mushrooms up that exact road yesterday I rode to the top and dropped off the other side! So much burned up at the top isn't there?

Did it have berry seeds in it or did it smell like pepper spray and have bells in it? :chuckle: :dunno:
