Entiat is walk in only. Park off of Hwy 97 next to the gate.

Sorry to jack this thread but I have a similar problem.

The tag I drew says "Desert"

What does that mean?  That I can hunt anywhere that appears to be in the Desert?  I've never hunted in Washington before this year.

Also...anyone know where I can see some big bull elk in the woods with my family, just so they can see them.  Thanks!
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

There are deer all over. 180's are easy if you hold out until the last day of the season you shouldn't have a problem shooting a 200"+. Hope for snow and make sure your rig is 4 wheel drive. Bring chains it gets hairy lol

In all seriousness, I drew a tag called Dayton? Can someone tell me where that unit is? And is there a lot of roads to hunt from? (Preferably pavement) all I want is honey holes,no time for scouting,so u can pm me trail cam pics and GPS coordinates if u would rather not post them, I will probably have my 5 brothers with me to help shoot at the elk as well so no doubt a bull will go down
Thank you for your time! :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :sry:

So is this a late rifle hunt? 25 permits 4000 applicants? I got drawn for that hunt myself and can't wait to get started. I can't believe how many people are applying for these hunts without even doing any scouting. I've hunted the methow and am familiar with the area, but have never hunted the late season. I hear nothing but great things about the unit. As far as the indian and wolves go, I have a home grown permit for one of them. You decide which species it's for. lol

OBVIOUSLY, I was joking guys. Don't read anything into that comment. I was simply trying to state how I feel about how both the indians and the wolves are killing our animals.

The guy told me that my tag is "over the counter." What does that mean? Do I actually have to stand on the counter when I shoot? Or can I just lean on it when Wal Mart brings the dear in for me to shoot?
