Pinks are in..

Few in the sound already. Headin for the mouth of the rivers. Seen 3 caught on the 15th. Averaging pretty small though.
Early run it sounds like this year.

90% of my fishing is on a fly rod, it's a blast.......must try it!

Fresh from salt water, properly cleaned/iced = good pink

Been in river, coloring up = bad to really bad pink

Thanks for the update.  It is going to be a long run if it starts now in the salt and goes through Sept in the rivers.     That's a lot of humpy.

Isn't it funny when everybody talks about pinks it's always the same answer "not bad smoked" Pinks dont really even flake when you cook them. I guess there fun to catch but annoying when your king or silver fishin and you keep hookib them damn things.

That's my plan as well. They are an absolute pain in the rear when fishing neah bay and a read an article two years ago saying to keep everyone you legally can because of how many there are anymore. I see no sense in even smoking them when there are chinook to be had.
