Thanks I have never been in that area due to hunting in a different part of e. wa. But I am excited to scout and put the time in for a great hunt.
If you can see it....... you can shoot it.

I used to live in Ellensburg and can give you a couple pointers. Do you know the Manastash/peaches ridge area at all?

wood257, get the green trails map of the area, it will show you the exposed hillsides in white which will help you a lot, they are the best maps hands down.  Oh and get them laminated, I have owned about 7 of the white pass maps over the years until I got married when my wife took all our new ones and got them done.  They last a lot better in your pack

Better yet get the 7.5 minute USGS maps and it will show the shaded relief and in more detail.

I drew 49 North and would love to pick your brain. When is the best time to go? Oct 1 during the rut or later in Nov when you can see and track in the snow?

Where should I go in the unit, It's a big area, where should I focus my time and attention to find brutus?

Thanks Pendoreille!
