I just moved to Washington 4 months ago to the city of Covington. i just want to know what areas that are close by that i can hunt Deer with bow and muzzleloader.
Man you may want to make a few more posts before asking questions like that
Welcome to Washington. 1st stop should be to a sporting goods store and pick up the Game Regulations. Might as well grab the fishing regs too. If that doesn't discourage and confuse you, you are ready to start exploring. You are not far from national forest on the west side and routes to the east side of the state. WA muzzy regs are different than a lot of other states, make sure yours meets those. good luck.
Here is some info on me. Im from down south I hope that does not get be kicked from sight. Most of the hunting I did was coyote with rifle and bow, but not much luck with bow. I don't have a big history with Deer only about 7 seasons for Muleys on and off, but I want to change that, and i know i will be dealing with mostly BT. For bird it would mostly be Dove and Quail. I also have a back ground in Muzzleloading 100% traditional I am not to familiar with the modern Muzzleloaders. I am not really looking for trophies mustily meat. As for what was in my area I was thinking with in 20 miles less than that would be nice.[/quoteSnoqualmie National Forest is 20 minutes from Covington. Thousands of acres of land to hunt. Also, you can buy private timber company access permits for your area too.
So what about Black tail, would I have any luck in the area. If I have to go more than 20 miles I will. I was just hopping to get something close to home. The private timber permits sound like a good option, so who do i contact about getting one.
