Between my dad, my brother and myself we have had this same tag 4 times. NOT A SINGLE BRANCH BULL KILLED! Brother shot a spike 30 yards off the main rd as we headed down to yak for supplies. THIS IS NO GIMMIE TAG!!!!!

4 times??? Maybe you guys need to try new areas in the unti because I'm in there every year at least twi ce a month between sept and nov and don't ha e a problem seeing branched bulls 5x5 or better. I compare areas looking for the best elk I can find and if you put in your homework you should be able to tag a decent bull.

Yes 4 times, I never said we didnt see branch bulls. We always seen elk and branch bulls. Bulls arent always responsive to calls and it was always the last couple days of season when the rut would actually begin. My dad has been elk hunting and calling since the mid 70's so its not like we dont know what we are doing.
We did plenty of scouting and definatley know the best area in that unit. OP you can pm me if you would like.

My dad got a 300 inch bull there last year.  I have always seen pretty decent bulls running around there.  You just need to know what hole to look in.
