I went in there this weekend and lost like 10 pounds  :chuckle:. It is STEEP! Didn't see a deer but you can tell they are there. I was surprised how brushy it was also. The combination of the two made it good area. Hard to hunt. One thing I'm having to learn is to have more patients mule deer hunting. Not like whitetail, you just don't see the numbers.
If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

Hey TEacherman, what kind of rig were you driving and what day were you in there?

We where in there Saturday and Sunday. We didn't get there until 10ish Saturday and left 1/2 way into sunday. Not really alot of time. I talked to one guy in there who had a couple doe tags in his group but didn't see anyone else. We bivwacked it in there. We took my buddies little silver Rav 4 the lowest ground clearance vehicle I've ever seen. We saw there was a camp on top with a Chevy and an REI tent but we went past it and never saw them. We parked the rav like a mile before the top in a logged out area because we thought we where going to lose an oil pan if we went any farther  :chuckle: Good area, almost glad I didn't get one because I would still be packing it out. I see why they grow big in there, steep and thick, there was spots I wanted a 45/70 for the pines and alders and others where I wanted my 7mm with the 20x scope on it. Great area, man the air was thin, plus I didn't realize how out of shape I was.  :chuckle: Anyway we had fun, hope others had better success than me I will be in again with a bow next time, most shots I would have been taking where under 60yds or over 500yds so my bow would've been good at least half the time.
