Hoyt Side Plates
« on: June 20, 2013, 07:44:46 PM »
Just wondering if anyone on the site makes custom side plates or if any of you guys know a good place to get them? I have seen them posted on AT, just trying to support some local guys if I can.

Great northwest archery on south hill has them. Theyre factory sideplates but they look custom. Only way to shoot a Hoyt!

Mine are so small, I dont think I can get those fancy ones. Its like small tiny piece of wood on each side then leather on the front. :dunno:

I picked some up from Great Northwest, to be honest, they are a little bit thicker than I wanted, but I believe they are going to be better than the original.

Thats what I thought at first as well, but the more I shoot them the more I like them. If you dont like the edges you can always round them off with a file.

Yup, same here when I had my Spyder.  I ended-up shooting bare riser while I had it.  For me, found it to be the best with no full or half wood grip.

I shot all my Hoyts without a grip. I like the bare riser. On my vector I wrapped the grip in leather bat grip tape and it worked awesome.

Should look into tentacle wrap. I used it for awhile and it works great. http://www.cheaperthandirt.net/product/6-2616099?utm_source=GoogleShopping&utm_medium=organic&gclid=CLadrZD0_7cCFTByQgoddAMAUw
