OC activists cheer federal judge’s Colorado ruling

Open Carry activists across the country, including the Pacific Northwest, are cheering a federal judge’s ruling Thursday that declared a ban on guns in post office parking lots to be unconstitutional, and they will likely be talking about it today at an Open Carry picnic the Kitsap County park in Port Orchard.

Phew!!! I've actually been losing sleep at night over not being able to open carry in the parking lot of the post office. I'm glad the courts have handled all the less pressing matters and were able to work on this.

Now lets work on getting open carry in all 50 states, for only a few are now.

So does this mean I can open carry in the post office parking lot today? Or do we have to wait? I have some stuff I want to mail but I don't want to do it until I can make sure everybody else in the parking lot knows I'm carrying a gun.

If you had bothered to read the order before you made your snarky reply, you would have seen that it was effective immediately on July 9, 2013

yes. because it will make police officers job a lot easier if everyone just rolled over.

joe seems to only be interested in making an officers job easier, (he is a LEO) 

i'm all for making their jobs easier, but not in expense of our freedom,.... sorry joe..

Nice assumption. It doesn't make my job any easier or any more difficult if you want to carry a gun in open wherever you want. I could care less really. I just think its funny that this is a big deal, carry a gun in the post office parking lot....whoopty doo!!!!

I've open carried a few times but its not my usual M.O.  I don't do it to get looks from people and I certainly don't do it to look tough. A few times I've even had my family with me.

Some people choose to open carry as their primary method simply to make a political statement. It may not be the best tactics and probably invites a lot of the drama that Joe is referring to but I sure appreciate those who do it in a respectful manner.
