Need Camera help
« on: October 20, 2008, 06:09:10 PM »
I have checked chasing game and several other websites trying to decide on a new camera to buy but it seems that everyone camera has some issues. :bash: I would like to know:

What kind and model of camera you use?

What do you like the most?

What do you dislike?

Would you buy it again?

What option is the most important(IR built in video screen)?

Thanks ahead of time.

I use the Canon 20D and unless I was going to replace it with a newer 40D or 50D I would buy it again. FWIW, I would stick with a SLR of some sort, and get one that will shoot RAW images (most will nowadays) Get one with the most pixels as you can afford and then start collecting lenses.

Ah, in that case you might send a PM to Outfitter, I know he owns about 20 different ones and could probably give you some good advice :twocents:

Before it was stolen I had a Moultrie D-40.  It was cheap and after I figured it out it did a good job.  The batteries could have lasted longer, I hear IR models have longer bat life.

I dislike having it ripped off so I’m going back to the old fashion scouting methods, reading tracks, plants, scat, etc.
